Rules

Playing means playing by these rules. Moderators enforce them with a warning, a mute, a suspension or a ban.

1. One account per person

   Play one account and play it yourself. A second account, or one somebody else plays for you, is closed along with every account it helped. Closing an account to register again with a fresh start counts as a second account.

2. Treat people with respect

   No insults, threats, slurs or harassment: not in messages, chat, cluster boards, names, profiles or the words you leave on machines.

3. Report bugs, do not use them

   When the game does something it should not, tell a moderator. Whatever you gain from a fault you knew about is taken back, and so may be more.

4. Play by hand

   No bots, scripts or tools that play for you or read the game faster than a person can.

5. Report honestly

   Every report is read by a person. A false or spiteful report breaks these rules as much as what it claims.

6. Losing is part of the game

   Machines are taken, credits stolen and clusters broken up. Nothing lost in play is given back, and no moderator takes revenge for you.

7. Accounts are not for sale

   Do not buy, sell, trade or give away an account, and do not pay real money for anything in the game.

The codex

• Pick on somebody your own size. A player far below you is outside your league.
• Anything you do to a player below your league carries your name, in the city feed and on your profile.
• Your profile shows since when you have kept the codex. Breaking it starts the record again.
• Hitting back at somebody who hit you first is never a breach.
• A Remote Scan never breaks the codex.
• Machines nobody owns are fair game.
